When you need a quick solution for messy morning hair, the Twin Roll-Up Buns hairstyle is an elegant choice that truly delivers. This easy, go-to hairstyle has quickly become one of my favorites because of its versatility. Not only can it be styled in under 10 minutes, but it’s also polished enough for work, perfect for busy mornings, and great for spontaneous plans. For a closer look at how to achieve this style, check out the Hairstyle of the Day video here!
Start with a Center Part
To begin, create a center part down the middle of your hair. No need for brushes or combs here! Just use your fingers to divide your hair into two fairly equal sections. Once you’ve separated the sections, secure each side with an alligator styling clip. This step helps keep the hair organized and makes the rest of the process much easier.
Optional Twists
If you want to add a bit more detail to your look, try twisting the top section of each half before making your ponytail. Starting at your temples, gently twist the hair back, adding small pieces as you go along. This will create a soft and polished effect that’s easier to style and remove later than a braid. The twists also provide extra definition, making the final style look even more put-together while remaining simple to undo at the end of the day.

Low Ponytails
Next, gather each side into a low ponytail at the lower center of your hair section, making sure not to place it too close to your ears. Secure each ponytail with a small or thin hair elastic. You can choose to keep the ponytails tight for a sleeker style or slightly loose to highlight your hair’s natural texture and add beautiful detail to the overall look.
Then, take another tiny ponytail holder and use it to gather the tips of each ponytail. This extra step is important, as the additional elastic helps prevent the buns from unraveling as you go about your day.
Roll-Up Buns
Now it’s time for the feature element of this hairstyle: the roll-up buns. Take the ends of one ponytail and roll them up and underneath toward the base of the ponytail. Continue rolling until you reach where the ponytail meets your head. Once in place, use a few bobby pins to tuck the bun’s underside securely into your hair. Repeat on the other side to create matching buns. These roll-up buns work well with both straight and wavy hair textures, and a few strategically placed pins will keep everything neatly secured.

Hairstyle of the Day
For a more formal or playful appearance, add polished twists or accessorize with decorative hair pins. This look also fits well under a hat, providing both style and practicality. Whether you’re headed to the office, running errands or heading to brunch, these buns offer chic versatility for any occasion.
