A must-know hairstyle is the simple claw clip twist-up hairstyle. It gives you the versatility to keep you on the move.

Here, I’m showing a variation for layered hair by starting with a half-up hairstyle to keep the shorter layers from slipping out.
Half Up to Twist Up
Take a simple half-up hairstyle and twist it up into a claw clip updo. It’s an easy way to change up your look any time of day. Best of all, if you keep the twist light, you’ll be able to refresh your curls for another hairstyle too!

01. Gather your hair at the nape of your neck with your hands. For long hair, drop your chin to your chest to gather this pony as low as possible.

02. Next, twist your low ponytail 2 times. Then, position the end of the ponytail up to secure with a claw clip. In this look, I’m using a large Teleties claw clip in Almond Beige.

03. Press the sides of the claw clip together to tighten. For longer hair, you can use a couple of bobby pins to hold the ends of your hair in place above the claw clip too!
04. To set your face framing curls or smooth flyaways, try a flexible hairspray as a finishing touch.
