Is your hair naturally curly?
Naturally curly hair is defined as hair that is curly, when wet or dry, without any styling tools or chemical treatments. Naturally curly hair can be styled in any way and it will always be naturally yours.
Oftentimes we may not know if our hair is curly, especially if we’ve been straightening it for years. It’s the big question that’s often the start of a curly hair journey.
It’s exciting to discover that you likely have wavy or curly hair if it has any frizz, volume, or bend to it. Over time, with a new hair care and styling routine, you’ll discover even more of what your hair is capable of!

Are your curls natural?
This common question may be to discover if our curls are naturally curly or formed by a perm, curling iron, twisty rods, or any other tool.
Still, others may question if your curls are the work of the styling products you use.
I always answer that I have naturally curly hair and that I do like to style my curls too.
What is ‘natural’ hair?
The term ‘natural hair’ defines hair that has not been permanently or semi-permanently (several months) altered by chemical treatments to change its texture. Treatments include color, keratin, Brazilian blowouts, perms, straighteners, relaxers, or texturizers.
Hair is still considered natural if it has been temporarily styled with hair driers, curling irons, or flat irons and returns to its original texture after washing.

What is product-free or ‘naked’ hair?
Product-free or ‘naked’ hair is any hair type that is free of any products applied to it.
What is a hair product?
Hair products are considered anything applied to your hair including any type of oil, cream, leave-in conditioner, serum, gel, mousse, or foam, etc.
Are your curls styled?
I love simple styling routines to create looks that embrace my natural curl pattern and keep my curls healthy.
More often than not, my curls are styled with products and I occasionally use a styling brush or finger coiling.

Do curls have to be natural?
Your hair is naturally yours and you are forever free to enjoy styling your hair in any way that suits you. It’s all hair love here!
Enjoy your hair, Beautiful.
