As you know, I love using hair gel to set my curls to last for a few days. With a mousse, however, the light-hold can often leave my curls separated and frizzy by the end of the day.
So as much as I love the full, bouncy curls I get with a mousse, I only used it when I didn’t need my hair to last for days. That is until I tried this product combo!
Benefits of a Mousse
One of the most loved benefits of styling curls with a mousse is the result of natural-looking curls. No shiny gel cast here!
Second, as a mousse is lightweight, it won’t weigh your hair down like a cream or gel. Instead, your curls will have movement and bounce.
Finally, mousse is perfect for quick curl styling. For smooth curls, it’s easy to rake in the product from roots to ends and then scrunch lightly if desired.

Mousse Styling Tips
A key tip when using a mousse is to be sure to coat the ends of your hair thoroughly. As the ends are typically drier than the rest of our hair, they often need extra water and product to help keep them hydrated.
Want more definition too? With any light-hold product, curl definition can be a challenge to achieve. Try Finger coiling to create defined curl families that last all day.
