Face-framing curls are always in the spotlight and expected to look their best. However, we know that curls can sometimes lose their way.
Whether you have curly bangs or love to wear face-framing curls with your updos, this simple tip will help!
The Natural Curl
Oftentimes a wonky curl may just not know which direction it wants to curl, either forward or back. To encourage the natural curl, add water and scrunch. Once you can see which way it naturally wants to turn, you’ll be able to smooth and style it back into shape.
Here’s a quick tip to do just that with a simple tool you already have!
Curl Setting Tip
In this video, I used the wand of a makeup brush to fix my face-framing curls. Just add water to the curls, apply a styling product if desired, roll the curl around the wand, and hold for a few seconds to set the curl. Air-dry or diffuse if needed.
The main trick of it is how you twirl the curl around the wand for it to have the perfect shape once you pull the wand out. Your best bet is to hold the wand vertically and wrap the curl around the brush. This way, you set the curl in its most natural shape.
Never fear wonky face-framing curls again!
