This casual updo shows off your natural curls and hair texture. It draws attention to your face, earrings, and neckline. With the comfort of a claw clip, it’s perfect for all-day wear.
Get the Look
In this look, I’m using the large Teleties claw clip in almond beige to contrast my dark brown hair.
Prep: For this look, I began with dry curls styled with a strong hold gel. This gives me a voluminous look and shows the texture of my hair. For a sleeker look, begin with wet hair styled with a product of your choice.

01. Gather all of your hair in a high ponytail at the crown of your head.
The crown is the highest point on the top of your head where it begins to curve down to the back.

02. Next, twist your ponytail to make a donut-shaped bun at the crown of your head. The goal is to make it visible from the front.

03. While holding the bun in place with your hands, leave the ends down and secure the bottom of the bun and the length of your ends with a medium or large size claw clip.
04. Press the sides of the claw clip inward to tighten.

05. Apply hairspray to finish the look and polish any flyaways or loose curls.
