Chic ponytails often have this hair wrapped ponytail styling in common. For an occasion when a perfect hair accessory can’t be found, this technique conceals your ponytail holder, hair elastic, hair band, you know the ones. Best of all, this look with never clash with your outfit!
Yes, these photos do feature a more intricate ponytail. But, it’s still an easy hairstyle to do! You can learn how to style this Upside-Down French Twist + Low Ponytail here too. Now, let’s get started with mastering the hair wrap technique with these style tips.
Hair Wrap + Tuck

Begin by making your ponytail with a hair elastic and incorporating all of your hair as usual.
Pro Tip: Use a hair elastic that matches your hair color for best results.
Next, take a small sliver of hair from your ponytail. This sliver should be small enough to fit between two fingers, and at least as wide as a thin ribbon.
Wrap the hair around enough times to conceal the ponytail holder. Try to leave a couple of inches of hair left at the end. These ends will help you tuck the hair wrap into place.
To finish the look, tuck those ends under your ponytail holder, or at least one band of it. Try this on the underside of your ponytail to help better blend in those shorter pieces with the rest of your ponytail.
Hair Wrap + Weave
As we are talking about a really tiny space here between the tight ponytail holder…it can be tricky to tuck in the hair wrap with just your fingers. So, another option is to use a bobby pin to help weave those ends through.
Try this by hooking a standard bobby pin or a larger size bobby pin/ Roller Pins, onto the hair strands, with at least a couple of inches of hair below. Then, push the bobby pin though the top of the ponytail, and all the way through it. This will weave those end back into your ponytail. Finally, remove the bobby pin to finish the look.
So, if you are ever without that perfect styling accessory for your hairstyle, you can always opt for the simple hair wrap.
Cheers to the curls!
