To dry your curls without frizz, diffusing is the way to go. Still, there are different diffusing techniques for styling to help better protect your curl set.
Try these tips for calm, frizz-free curls every time.
Frizz-Free Diffusing
To prevent frizz while diffusing, keep it simple. Try hover diffusing.
The key is to hold the diffuser above your hair with the nozzle pointing down the hair shaft.
Whether you are standing upright or have your hair flipped over to create volume, keep the hair dryer pointed in the same direction as your hair.

Volume or Frizz?
If your curls are prone to frizz, avoid pointing your diffuser up from the ends of your hair or scrunching your hair up with your hair dryer.
While this is a create technique to create volume, it can lift the hair cuticle up and can create frizz. Instead, try volume diffusing techniques only after you’ve dried the outer layer of your hair by hover diffusing.
Pro Tips
For best frizz-free results, diffuse at least until the outer layer of your hair is dry or longer if you’d like. Even just 10-15 minutes will trim hours off any air-drying time and protect your curls from weather and movement throughout the day.
For extra frizz protection, try adding a hairspray before diffusing too! This works especially well if you are using light-hold products such as a cream, mousse, or light-hold gel.
Happy Diffusing!
