Yes! Dry shampoo is a hair product staple, but in my cabinet, it’s always been a spray. What I didn’t have was a dry shampoo powder that I could trust to not leave a white cast all over my hair. Finally, I found one that is made for brunettes and is curly hair friendly too!
Powder Play
We love dry shampoos for quickly making our hair look fresher and smell fresher too. Still, there is a method of application to avoid any unsightly powder patches.

Beware, don’t shake the powder directly onto your hair.
Powders are known for unexpectedly dropping too little or too much at a time. So to avoid not being able to see how much is dropping out of the container over your hair, opt for this method instead.
First, tap the dry shampoo powder onto your fingertips to see the amount of product.
Then, smooth it out a bit with your fingertips.
Next, glide your hands through your hair and massage the powder onto your scalp. Use back and forth or side to side motions, not circles. This will keep your hairstyle intact and prevent any knots or tangles from forming as a result.
To see the application technique for dry shampoo powder, I share it in this sleeping hairstyles video for preserving and protecting curls overnight.
